Metallica will be in Toronto next month to show off their new 3D IMAX concert film, "Through the Never."
The movie is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 9th.
The metal vets say they're "incredibly proud and very excited" about the news, adding that they're "psyched" to be part of what they call "the most respected and prominent film festival in North America."
The band says they'll be on hand for the red carpet premiere to introduce the film and chat with the press. But at this point, it doesn't look like Metallica's trip up north will include a live performance.
"Through the Never" hits IMAX 3D theaters across the U.S. on September 27th. It's then scheduled to make its way to standard theaters on October 4th.
