Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil got back on stage this past weekend, joining Sammy Hagar and The Circle for a mini set of classic Crüe material.
Hagar and his band were playing the ex-Van Halen front man's own High Tide Beach Party in Huntington Beach, California.
With Neil, the combo played "Kickstart My Heart," "Wild Side" and "Girls, Girls, Girls." You can see fan-shot video of the latter above.
Since Crüe's retirement in 2015, Neil has toured and performed on and off with his solo band. He's the only member of the band that still performs Mötley Crüe songs live in concert.
But the singer broke news last month when he confirmed the rumors that his bandmates Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee were indeed recording together. Neil revealed that the entire band was in the studio recording four new Crüe songs, tied to the upcoming film, The Dirt, which chronicles the band's scandalous '80s heyday.
Neil emphasized, however, that the band has no plans to go back on its agreement that it's touring days are over.
Hagar on the other hand has been preparing to release his debut studio album with The Circle — a band that features Michael Anthony, Vic Johnson and Jason Bonham.
The singer says the band's album, Space Between, is the best thing he's ever done, and possibly also the last full-length album he'll record in his career.
"It's about the misconception that money is the root of all evil, because the truth of the matter is, that it isn't money at all," he explained in September. "You can feed the poor, you can heal the sick, you can make people happy, you can stop a war with money, but it's greed that is the problem ... It's what I discovered by being both rich and poor."
Hagar says the new songs draw a lot from his experience as a child being raised in poverty.
