With bassist Robert Trujillo warning the crowd that he and guitarist Kirk Hammett were about to play something that was “really scary, super heavy, and if you start moshing, try not to injure yourself,” the two cranked up some Neil Diamond at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday. The guys decided to put their own twist on the Red Sox tradition of playing “Sweet Caroline” at games. Yes...the crowd loved it. No...there weren’t any mosh pit injuries reported from the 1969 hit! lol
Personally...I've heard better covers...but I've also heard much...much worse. And the crowd had a blast during the performance so that's all that matters, right?:)
