Here's How You Calm Actors Down When They Get Aroused During a Sex Scene
Actors are always saying that sex scenes are NOT sexy, and it's extremely rare for a guy to get aroused. But it DOES happen. So how do they deal with it?
An "intimacy coordinator" named Brooke Haney says, quote, "I tell the actor to do a few push-ups or some jumping jacks. That moves the blood to a different location and we're all good."
Some people who play lovers onscreen end up coupled in real life. But Haney says her job is to keep it 100% professional.
Quote, "One of the jobs of an intimacy coordinator is to make sure that we are making everything on set be work . . .
"I'm not going to be in charge of controlling what actors do on their own time, that's their business. But when we're at work, it should never be about their personal relationship. It should be about the characters."
