Ozzy Osbourne is prepping for his final performance next week, but that doesn't mean recording is off the table. On the latest episode of his radio show, Ozzy's co-host Billy Morrison asked “Is there people that you’d like to do a duet with?"

Without hesitation, the Prince of Darkness responded, “Paul McCartney.”

“I think it’s good that we have this show so we can both say, ‘Paul, if you’re listening, it’s about time,’" Morrison pointed out but Osbourne shot down the idea.

“No, I would be honored but I couldn’t…” he confessed.

“Why not?" Morrison pushed. "Put it out into the universe. You never know.”

During the conversation, Ozzy recalled meeting McCartney in 2001. “He’s a really nice man," he said. "I was like, ‘Grrr.'”

These comments come after Ozzy compared meeting Macca to "meeting Jesus Christ" on The Osbournes Podcast last year. “I’m a big Beatles fan and when I first met Paul McCartney, it was like meeting Jesus Christ," he said at the time. “He was a very nice man. And when I got a Grammy, he followed up with my producer to congratulate me. That was very, very special.”

Ozzy is planning to perform for the last time both as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath on July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. The all day event, which is being billed as "Back to the Beginning," will also feature sets from Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Halestorm, Alice in Chains, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Anthrax, TOOL and Rival Sons will also be playing sets, along with solo performers.
