The Latest Protein Hack: Dumping Yogurt in Your Coffee
We're a year or so into the "Great American Protein Craze" . . . and this COULD be the thing that finally kills it.
People on TikTok are hyping a new trend where you add protein to your morning routine by dumping YOGURT into your COFFEE. Even worse: Some people are even doing it with FLAVORED yogurt. (Which is probably more tolerable if you like sugary flavored coffee drinks.)
The guy who started it is a "content creator" and gym bro named Jordan Bernstein. His original recipe was cold brew . . . Greek yogurt . . . and coconut water. He's since started adding salt and "12 shakes of cinnamon."
Of course, he's not the only one to have tried it. There's a Vietnamese drink involving coffee and yogurt, which has been around for a long time.
The reviews are mixed. The most sensible person in the comments had this to say: "Just drink the coffee and have the yogurt on the side my guy." (Well yeah, but you don't go viral being normal.)
